Eve's Tried & Tested: Infrared Sauna

One thing we have been dying to try for such a long time here at Eve's Parcel was an infrared sauna. We have read so much about them, and the idea of it just sounded so good. First of all, we love being warm (especially this time of year). Secondly, anything that really forces my body to sweat it out without having to go to the gym is a yes in our books!

We tried the infrared sauna in Glow Bar, and the experience was just amazing! After a warm welcome, we were shown downstairs to the changing room which was filled with everything you could possibly need - skincare products provided by Clinique, bathrobes, towels, shampoo / conditioner, argan oil and GHD hair dryers & straighteners. 

We changed into the bathrobes, and were shown to the private sauna room. This was super relaxing and even had a box to protect your phone from heat so you could listen to your favourite music / podcast while you relax and sweat! Bliss… 

The heaters in the saunas emit infrared light, which in waves create heat in the body rather than heating the air, meaning that you can stay in longer and sweat a lot more. As an added bonus, it burns quite a few calories. One thing that really intrigue me about the sauna was the health benefits from the heat therapy of the infrared lights, these include:

Alleviates stress 

Better sleep 

Boosts immune system 

Purifies the skin 

Detoxifies your body 

Improves cardio health 

Relieves joint and muscle pain 

After our sauna, we went and freshened up and promptly went upstairs to brows the beautiful shop, and try one of the signature 'moon milk's'! We tried the 'Glow' option, and it was every bit as good as it looks!

All in all, the experience was amazing, and we felt great afterwards - It is something we would highly recommend! Im already looking forward to my bed tonight to try out the benefits of sleep from the sauna!
